How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
Not only have I been blessed with a community of Stamps Scholars at Miami (and nationally), but I have been able to use enrichment funds for several life-changing experiences. I’ve had the opportunity to paint a mural in Kenya, take an unpaid internship with a non-profit in Chicago, and travel to Argentina and Brazil.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Don’t be afraid. There are better ways to use your time than spending it fearfully.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My friends. They are some of my greatest role models who encourage me in my strengths and challenge me to be a better individual every day.

What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
The National Conventions are amazing. My favorite part of this program has been meeting other Stamps Scholars, witnessing our diverse range of talents, and always being surprised by how much we have in common after all. It is a fantastic group of people! One of my biggest highlights was caving with the Outdoor Exploration thread at SSNC15. Such a unique and exciting experience!

What comes next?
I’m in the process of finding a job as an in-house graphic designer. For now, I am happily staying in the great Midwest.
