How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship has provided me with a network of incredible individuals who are among the most intelligent and driven students in the country. Through the enrichment funds, I have been able to backpack in Scotland on a Stamps Leadership Expedition, learn about renewable energy and sustainability in Iceland, interview officials of the European Union in Brussels, and so much more!
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Ground yourself. While it’s part of freshman year to go off and explore everything that campus has to offer, find that activity (ie. reflecting, meditating, journaling, music, etc.) that brings you stability and do it every day for at least five minutes. No matter what.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My parents. They’ve been there to question every bizarre decision I’m about to make, to feed me when I’m missing homecooked meals, and to support me when I’m stuck in a slump.
What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
One of my favorite memories was getting stuck in the airport on our way back from the Scotland Leadership Expedition. It was an unexpected bonding experience!
What comes next?
The plans are still in the making, but likely graduate school in Public Policy!
