How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship connected me with the most intelligent, driven, and humble people I have ever encountered. These people became some of my closest friends in college and will remain friends for the rest of my life. The program also provided ample opportunity for me to learn more about the world through my experiences and more about myself through periods for reflection.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
I would tell my freshman self that you really don’t know everything you need to know to be able to make sweeping decisions about your own future. Focus on learning more about yourself and more about the subjects you care about and eventually you’ll find the right path for yourself in all walks of life.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My parents’ endless support and guidance has been incredibly impactful over the course of my college career. Even when I felt like I had no idea what I wanted to do after college, they encouraged me to not worry too much and that everything would eventually work out.
What comes next?
I will start work in August of 2019 as a Data Analyst at Point72 Asset Management in New York City.
