How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship has greatly enhanced my college career. As a stamps scholar I was part of an incredible community of inspiring people who taught me so much. I left with new experiences and lifelong friends, as well as many incredible opportunities. I got to study abroad in Croatia, intern in Portland, attend Stamps National Convention, and meet so many new people. I am so grateful for the Stamps Scholarship and the community for a wonderful four years

Knowing what you know now, what advice can you offer to incoming freshmen Stamps Scholars?
Don’t be afraid to change your plan! I was worried about being behind or lost, but I am now on a completely different plan than I entered college with. Also, take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities you get! You might find a new passion.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My friends and family are so important to me and constantly supported me throughout my college career. I couldn’t have done it without them.

Who or what is inspiring you during this trying time of COVID-19?
I am so inspired by the unity shown by people during this pandemic. I’m so grateful to the essential workers, and to everyone staying home flattening the curve and everyone in between. I’ve been spending my time with my family, reading, writing, painting, and cooking. It’s been very relaxing.

What comes next?
I plan to work as a software engineer, then apply to grad school.
