How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship allowed me to gain experiential knowledge about my area of study, especially regarding my concentration on African Studies and my practical knowledge of francophone culture and language in West Africa.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
I would encourage myself to develop more how my relationship with the Air Force affects the passions in my life.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My academic advisor Dr. Schuyler Foerster has had the greatest impact on me during my college career. He has helped me to know what I am passionate about and how to communicate that to others. Moreover, he has supported me in my academic and extracurricular endeavors like no other, showing me the true value of relationships and commitment to an idea.

Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
My most memorable Stamps Scholar experience was when I used my enrichment funds to go to Saint-Louis, Senegal to work with a Muslim NGO there that worked with children who had been trafficked to the city.

Plans after graduation?
I plan to go to Europe and Africa for the summer, and then I’ll attend Harvard University for a Master’s in Public Policy.
