How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship opened doors I did not know existed and has allowed the limits of my future to be determined solely by my own imagination. The scholarship has allowed me to explore my interests in architecture and design by spending over 6 months abroad; I will graduate with an international degree distinction. I also had the chance to engage in research, spending time at the Met’s Islamic Art Exhibit. I was exposed to medicine in the developing world, and this experience shifted my perspective immensely.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
My advice to an incoming freshman is to make plans based on themes you want to see played out in your lives. Find something that sets you apart and pursue that distinction as if it is a thesis you are arguing. Not only will this help you solidify your personal goals, it will also make your resume more comprehensive.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
Dr. Stamps has made the greatest impact on my college career. He has served as an impetus to give back to my community.

Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
The Stamps Scholarship Outdoor Experience freshman year remains my most memorable Stamps Scholar experience. It was entirely out of my comfort zone and allowed me to meet my best friends.

Plans after graduation?
I will be attending Harvard Law School to pursue a career in Intellectual Property Law.
