How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship allowed me to pursue many different opportunities during my years in university. I was able to do an Outward Bound trip to get to know my fellow Stamps Scholar peers, study abroad for a semester in France, take part in an international business competition in Germany and partake in several Stamps conventions nationally. These experiences allowed me to enrich my university experience with these inspiring activities and broaden my network to other Stamps scholars nationally.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Knowing what I know now, I would have told my freshman self to not be afraid to follow my gut. I think it is very important to keep a childish curiosity and not question your passions.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
I believe my mentor at Illinois Business Consulting, Rob Valli, has had the largest impact on me throughout my college career. Since I joined the student consulting organization my freshman year, he has always been very supportive. He has given me advice when it came to developing as a leader and professional.

Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
I would say my most memorable Stamps Scholar experience was at the last National Stamps Convention. Mr. and Mrs. Stamps were being interviewed and I remember them just looking out over the 500 scholars there and saying that they do this all because they see incredible potential in each of us. They said they see that we are capable of paying it forward. They know that we are the type of students to want to do well. This stuck with me because it represented their investment in the young adults.

Plans after graduation?
I have been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to teach English in Poland for the next school year. I will be an English Teaching Assistant for the mechanical engineering department at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. The year after, I will start my full-time job in the Global Management Training program with AB InBev.
