Degree: B.A. in Marketing and Public Relations
How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
It gave me numerous opportunities to travel and learn about parts of the world I never would have seen – South Korea, Cuba, France, Brazil, Peru. More importantly, though, it connected me with incredible people who have become some of my best friends.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Enjoy every second. I’ve been so happy with my time at UGA between the people I’ve met and what I’ve been able to do. It’s led me to a job I’m so excited to start in a few weeks, and I don’t think I would tell myself to do anything differently, just enjoy it.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
I worked with the UGA Athletic Association for two and a half years, and worked very closely with my boss, Tanner. That was my first “professional” job and just learned how things operate within a business was such a great learning experience, and I owe that all to Tanner who took me on as an intern.
Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
I’ll never forget waking up at 3 a.m. to do morning chanting at a Buddhist monastery in South Korea with dozens of monks.
Plans after graduation?
I’ll be working at the US Tennis Association’s Mid-Atlantic Section as a Social Media, Engagement and Marketing Coordinator
