How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship gave me the opportunity to not only study at my dream school, but also the opportunity to pursue experiences across the world that I never would have been able to do otherwise. I was able to study abroad in Rome, to shadow physicians in Argentina and Bolivia, and to take vocal lessons with world-famous vocal coach Roger Love. Taken all together, my worldview and life in general have been completely enriched.
Tell us a piece of wisdom you’ve learned over the past four years.
Life is seldom black and white–if ever. One must make every reasonable attempt possible to explore every issue from every side before making any sort of judgement.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
It is quite difficult to choose any one person that has had the greatest impact on me throughout college because some of the most amazing things about college have been meeting so many unique and talented people from so many different places. I think the biggest impact has been a result of all these experiences summed together.
What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
Attending the 2015 Stamps Convention was by far my favorite Stamps Scholar memory. Not only did I get to know my fellow Notre Dame Scholars better, but I also deeply enjoyed networking with all the incredibly talented Scholars across the country and world.
What comes next?
After getting married this July to my high school sweetheart, I will be pursuing a MD degree at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
