How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship provided me with a network of fellow Scholars whose passion, ambition, and talent continuously inspire and motivate me. I have also been given opportunities that I would not have had access to otherwise, including a study abroad in Paris, France; attendance at a letterpress & wood type conference in Two Rivers, Wisconsin; and networking in Chicago with creatives who have helped shape my desired career path.

Tell us a piece of wisdom you’ve learned over the past four years.
When you work hard, the dreams that once seemed unachievable become goals within your reach.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My professor Erin Beckloff has been a wealth of knowledge and support throughout my time in Miami’s graphic design program. She knows how to push me and understands my process, and she is always willing to give advice, solve a problem, or be a friend to lean on. Without her I would not be as competent or confident as a designer and would not have been exposed to aspects of design that I am now passionate about.

What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
Seeing the Stamps program at Miami grow from a tiny, disconnected group of 10 into a fun, friendly, loving, and endlessly supportive family of 30.

What comes next?
For now, I’m moving back home to Cleveland, but I hope to find a full-time job soon at a digital music publication, branding firm, or record label in Cleveland or Chicago.
