Degree: B.S. in Civil Engineering
How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship allowed me to dream bigger, explore father, and make the most of every moment. I gained an appreciation of travel through study abroad programs in Mexico, Peru, and South Africa. I became more confident as I navigated foreign streets, hiked up mountains, and met friends around the globe.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Keep spreading sunshine! A smile and friendly face can make a world of a difference. Make time for people. Life gets busy but set aside time for friends (new and old).
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My best friend, Mary Sullivan, listened to my dreams and helped me make every day an adventure. My Concrete Canoe Captain, Danielle Kennedy, taught me how to be an effective leader and introduced me to the wonderful world of civil engineering.
What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
Watching the rain and mist clear from the top of the world at Machu Picchu.
What comes next?
I am pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at Georgia Tech. Go jackets!
