How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship afforded me experiences that I otherwise would not have had. I was able to travel abroad, intern in DC with my senator, interact with impressive individuals, and much more. Without these experiences, I would not have developed into the person I am today. I was able to pursue my passions and find a career path where I can engage in significant, meaningful, and challenging work.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
I would tell myself to take things in stride. Life generally does not go as expected, but you have to push through the difficult aspects to get to the best parts. Challenges along the way seemed difficult but were always part of what grew me to be a better person.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My parents and grandparents have had the greatest impact on me. Despite being many miles away, they have always stood beside me, given me advice, and done their best to ensure that I could succeed. They have been a wonderful support system, and I do not know what I would have done without them.

What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
Summer of 2017 was incredible. Because of the Stamps Scholarship, I was able to study philosophy and art in Greece and then spend a month on Capitol Hill interning for one of Georgia’s senators. These experiences definitively shaped my aspirations and career goals.

What comes next?
I will be continuing my job with Clay Tippins’s gubernatorial campaign. In the fall, I will begin a Master of Health Administration at Texas A&M University.
