Degree: B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering

How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship has given me the freedom to pursue my passions wholeheartedly throughout my time at Georgia Tech. For example, without Stamps I wouldn’t have been able to row for the past four years, so I would never have raced and won at national championship regattas or learned how to run a successful organization.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
I would tell myself to live in every moment over the next four years, whether good or bad. Taking time to reflect on your day, month, or year will help you make the most of your time in college, and will help ensure it doesn’t just fly by.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
The friends I have made have had the greatest impact on me. They have kept me motivated when I am in a slump, have helped me appreciate the good times, and possess an uncanny ability to make time disappear when we’re hanging out.

What comes next?
I will be moving on to Stanford University to pursue an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering. Beyond that, who knows!
