How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps scholarship encouraged me to be a leader in many clubs and organizations. Thanks to enrichment funds provided by the Stamps, I was able to travel to Mexico and teach abroad.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
I would tell my freshman self to always expect the best for myself. Just because something may seem unattainable, it’s important to believe in oneself and never give up.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
I would say the school’s Stamps coordinator, Dr. Gerene Starratt, has had the greatest impact. Dr. Starratt has always been active and involved. She has encouraged me to do research, to travel, and to participate in activities around the school. She has always been there to assist me every step of the way.

Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
My most memorable Stamps Scholar experience was the Stamps Day of Service. My school helped to restore a playground that was close to the college campus. I often drive by this park and I am able to see the kids enjoying the park we renovated.

Plans after graduation?
I plan to attend graduate school.
