Degrees: B.S. in Physics and Computer Science
How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship allowed me so much freedom in my undergraduate experience. I was able to study abroad on Rapa Nui, and in Denmark and Germany. The Stamps community has been a wonderful addition, and because of the Stamps Scholarship, I was also able to try out various types of research at Oregon that I would not have otherwise been able to do.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Try out everything. You won’t know what you like or dislike until you have first hand experience with it.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My physics advisor, Dr. Fisher. He helped me first get into research, encouraged me to study abroad, and generally pushed me to do everything I could with the four years I had.
What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
My favorite memory would have to be the outdoor thread during my first National Convention. The group I was with was amazing and I got to go caving for the first time in my life.
What comes next?
I will be headed to Leiden University in the Netherlands for my masters in Astronomy and Data Science.
