How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
I loved the community of Stamps Scholars that I have found during my time at Georgia Tech. The wonderful retreats, speakers, and faculty guides have been a continual source of support and wisdom throughout college. I have been able to attend conferences to present my research, have studied abroad, and was able to travel to Peru on a medical mission trip to further my passion for Global Health and medicine. It has truly been both perspective shifting and inspirational to be a part of such an amazing group of fellow scholars.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Mentors have made a significant impact on my success, and it is important to seek out that advice and mentorship and to think about who you want to have in your close circle of supporters.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My family has been a consistent and stable source of support throughout my entire life and for them I am so thankful. However, I have also been profoundly impacted by both my fellow Stamps Scholars at Tech as well as my best friends Sydney and Hannah who not only listen to me but inspire me to be the best version of myself each and every day. My advisor Dr. Kerr and Stamps Scholar faculty guides Jenna Jordan and Chris Rozell have also impacted me through serving as fantastic role models and have given me so much wisdom these past four years.

What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
The Stamps Day of Service each year is something I look forward to and a time to bond with Stamps Scholars from all years at Tech. I have loved planting trees with Trees Atlanta and helping the Atlanta community.

What comes next?
I will be working at the FDA next year in a post-baccalaureate research training program to work with Nikunj Sharma on his IFN-alpha1 project. I will then be applying to medical school and MD/PhD programs.
