Degree: B.S. in Nursing
How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship shaped my undergraduate experience by making it possible. Without the scholarship, I likely would not have left my hometown in Virginia to pursue a bachelor’s degree in beautiful Miami, Florida.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
My advice would be not to sweat the small stuff and to ask myself whether a small bump in the road would truly matter in a year, two years, or ten years down the road.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My sister has had the greatest impact on me throughout my college career. She was the first one in my family to pursue a college degree, so she is able to relate to me and offer sound advice. She is also my biggest cheerleader and completely supports anything that I pursue. Ultimately, she has made me a better person and I contribute many of my successes to her.
Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
My most memorable experience was being able to travel to Chernobyl, Ukraine using my enrichment funds.
Plans after graduation?
After graduation I will be moving to Philadelphia to attend Thomas Jefferson University for their Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program.
