Degree: Masters in Business Administration
How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship made me better able to afford this degree, and be able to expand my education by taking courses on entrepreneurship and sustainability in Stockholm, Sweden, and backpack through Patagonia for 8 days on a leadership course through a NOLS and Darden collaboration. Without the Stamps support, I would not have been able to take advantage of those opportunities. I also was able to focus on finding a career that I truly wanted to embark upon, without worrying about paying back mountains of loans.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Trust the process, and enjoy all of it – even the super late nights struggling through a cryptic econ tech note and case your learning team – it goes by too fast!
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
It’s too hard to pick just one person. My peers at Darden are all incredibly impressive and I’ve learned from each and every one of them. My professors have been amazing both academically and personally and I’ve made connections with many of them. I’m very thankful that I’ve found real strong female role models amongst them to emulate.
What comes next?
I’m headed to San Francisco to work for Walmart Global eCommerce as a Product Manager. Last summer I interned for them launching a digital wallet for the underbanked in Mexico, and I’m excited to see what we’ll bring to market next!
