Degrees: B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering
How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
Studying abroad in France, New Zealand/Australia, and England would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of the Stamps President’s Scholars Program at Georgia Tech. I met so many people from different cultures and walks of life; it opened my eyes to the perspectives of people around the world. For that, I am grateful.
Tell us a piece of wisdom you’ve learned over the past four years.
Laugh, live in the moment, and get to know the people around you.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
Miller Templeton, for all the coffee, advice, and engaging conversations. Professor Faisal Alamgir, for the steadfast patience and mentorship without which I would not be where I am today. Lastly, countless more friends and mentors who gave up their time and energy to help me learn and grow.
What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
Leading the fall retreat for the 2016 incoming class of Stamps Scholars at Georgia Tech. I was so proud of our team for all of their hard work, and I loved watching it all come together in the end.
What comes next?
I’m currently interning at SpaceX until I head off to Boston in the fall for a Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering at MIT.
