How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
Stamps allowed me to take unique opportunities, encouraged me to stay motivated to succeed, and indicated to employers, graduate schools, and organizations that I was a strong and driven scholar.
Tell us a piece of wisdom you’ve learned over the past four years.
I’ve learned to not get stressed about things. Everything has a way of working itself out; constantly worrying about your grades or the future just isn’t worth your time.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
A professor in the Statistics department has opened my eyes to countless opportunities in my field, encouraged me to take bold steps, and was always there as a support for me academically, professionally, and personally.
What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
Although many of the Purdue Stamps were unable to attend SSNC 2017, we had a great time getting together, having tacos, and playing games. It was awesome to be a part of such a close group.
What comes next?
I’ll be attending graduate school in Statistics at Oregon State University.
