How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship gave me tremendous opportunities. I used enrichment funds to travel to London to study theater and take summer courses at Boston University. In addition, it gave me a community of fellow scholars both at school and across the country.
Tell us a piece of wisdom you’ve learned over the past four years.
Try new things! My favorite and most meaningful activities were things I joined on a whim.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
My softball coaches have had the greatest impact on me throughout my four years at Oberlin. They have pushed me to constantly push myself, both on and off the field. They have provided me with a wonderful group of teammates who I was so fortunate to have as friends.
What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
My favorite memories have been volunteering at Oberlin Community Services with my fellow Stamps Scholars.
What comes next?
I have a summer internship with Sierra Magazine and will then be pursuing a career in journalism.

“Those who believe in the future are left, as they always were, with the responsibility of creating it, and that begins with an act of faith — not just that the future will be survivable, but that it might, somehow, maybe be an exciting place to live.” – Laurie Penny
