How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship helped me find a supportive community as soon as I entered college. My fellow Stamps scholars continually inspired me to try new experiences and to strive for excellence myself. My advisors challenged me in ways that helped me grow both as a student and as an individual.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
You’re never too busy to get lunch with someone. College is definitely about growing academically, but it’s about growing personally and socially as well.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
Throughout my four years, my advisor Dr. Dan Cristol provided me with and pushed me to take advantage of a plethora of opportunities that shaped my college experience. He encouraged me at my lowest moments and celebrated me at my highest. Thanks, Dan!
What comes next?
I’ll be working as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health for two years before applying to medical school!
