How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
My undergrad at Tech wouldn’t have been possible without the Stamps scholarship! Also, it allowed me to study abroad in Oxford the summer after my freshman year. That really sparked my wanderlust and shaped my goals throughout college. Since then, I’ve been to 15 countries and aim to go to every single country by 30!

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Be brave and joyful. Be intentional in your interactions with people and love without conditions or limits.

Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
It’s hard to pin point one person, but I think that my best friend has been my backbone the whole time. He was with me in my best and my worst, and never let me give up on myself.

What’s your favorite Stamps Scholar memory?
Going on a backpacking trek summer before Freshman year to Croatia with some fellow scholars. One of my friends, Hasit, in his attempts to help people cross a little hole in the ground, ended up falling into a pile of stinging Nettles with his backpack on. He rolled in it all like a turtle with his backpack on, and I almost peed my pants I laughed so hard. I can’t tell that story without cracking up because it still brings me so much joy. He was fine by the way!

What comes next?
Going on a 2 month back-packing trip to Southeast Asia with friends for the first half, and solo travel for the second half. Then I start my full time job at Deloitte doing Human Capital Consulting at the CDC. And hopefully more travel!
