Degree: B.S. in Biology with Business Option
How did the Stamps Scholarship help shape your undergraduate experience?
The Stamps Scholarship allowed me to Study Abroad at Oxford, do stand up in New York City for a summer, opened up a prestigious internship at Adult Swim, and allowed me to meet some of my dearest friends.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
Worry less about what others think of you. It’s something I’ve learned only recently.
Who has had the greatest impact on you throughout your college career and how so?
Professor Bill Todd, by a long shot. I adopted his passion for efficiency and practical decision-making in medicine, and it’s shaped my professional goals. Other than that, he is wonderful, intelligent, and kind and has been an important mentor in my life.
Please share your most memorable Stamps Scholar experience.
Another Stamps Scholar (Abigail Riddle) and I chose to coordinate our Study Abroad trip to Oxford University together. I had never been to Europe (or many other countries other than the US and India), and I found out a lot about myself. I became a lot more creative and took more risks after that summer.
Plans after graduation?
I will be getting my Master’s in Business Analytics from the University of Virginia. Over the summer and beyond, I’ll keep doing standup because I’m finding success and fulfillment in it. I’m also really good.
